MPC LENTEN DEVOTIONS

If we are to know and do the will of God, we must first submit to Jesus Christ as the Lord of our lives.  We must not conform to this world with all its materialistic philosophy, nor to the thinking and behavior of those who do not know God.  Paul said, “Don’t let the world around us squeeze us into its own mold.”  We are not to be squeezed into the superficial set of values and standards by which the world measures success and achieves it goals.  The only way for us to keep from being squeezed into the world’s mold is to be transformed into a new person.  As we say “NO” to the world’s standards and saturate ourselves with God’s WORD, His Spirit begins this work of transformation.
